Today we’ll have a naval themed update from Battleship Cove in Massachusetts. While the main ships from there have already been posted to our gallery, here are four smaller items from there – Soviet Tarantula class missile boat USNS Hiddensee, Higgins LCM(3) landing craft, 570mm Mark13 Mod 1 Torpedo and a US 20mm/70 Oerlikon anti-aicraft gun.
Here are the last four albums from Auckland’s Museum of Transport and Technology. We’ve added the photos of the de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito T.43, the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I replica, the Miles M.14A Magister and the Mignet HM-14 Flying Flea.
Here are three albums from MOTAT and one album from the National Museum of the Royal New Zealand Navy. Two are firetrucks – 1907 Merryweather Fire Engine and Ford V8 Fire Engine, one is a military staff vehicle – Morris Mini Moke and the last one is a rail road locomotive – K900.
We’ve started posting another series of walkarounds, this one is from the Museum of Transport and Technology in Auckland, New Zealand. We’ve posted the photos of Douglas A-4K Skyhawk, Avro Lancaster B Mk.VII and de Havilland DH.89A Dragon Rapide.
Today we’ve added four photos of the French armored vehicles photographed at Saumur’s Musee des Blindes. They are FCM36 light infantry tank, Renault AMR 33 light cavalry tank, ARL-44 heavy tank and La Rochelle Improvised Armored Car.
Continuing to dig through the archives of the un-posted stuff here are four albums done a number of years ago at MVCC Camp Delta. The albums are – M35 with M105 bed, Dodge WC19, GMC Canada 1942 India Pattern LRDG Truck and M55 .50 caliber Quad-mount.
Just 4 years delayed, started posting photos from the Capital Air Show 2012. The airshow is the yearly event that happens in Sacramento, CA. Added the photos of Bell CV-22B Osprey, Lockheed P-38L-5-LO Lightning and Air Tractor AT-502B.
Posted four different artillery albums from four different countries. From Russia, posted the Tsar Pushka, photographed in Moscow’s Kremlin, from Belgium added the 75mm Cockerill-Nordenfeld Mle 1896 Field Gun seen in Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History in Brussels, from Australia came the British QF 25pdr Mark II Field Gun photographed in a town of Cann River and finally from US added the 8″ Rifled Dahlgren Cannon on a Naval Mount that was found at Patriots Point Museum in Charleston SC.
Posted four different vehicles from Israeli museums – PzKpfw IVG, PT-76, M52 and AT-L light artillery prime-mover.
Almost done with posting the NASM albums, just two updates left. Here are four more aircraft from there – Nakajima J1N1-S Gekko, Nieuport 28C.1, Verville-Sperry M-1 Messenger and Loening OA-1A San Francisco.
Posted four different albums of naval subjects from all over the US. From Patriot’s Point in Charleston SC added the destroyer USS Laffey DD-724 and it’s 5″/38 Mark 38 Twin Dual-Purpose Mount. From Portland, OR posted the photos of Tugboat Portland and from Morro Bay, CA added the album for DSRV-2 Avalon.
Here are the last four walkarounds from the US Army Transportation Museum at Fort Eustis, VA – XM437E1 Goer, Cargo Truck, 16-ton, 4×4, Standard B “Liberty” Truck, Railroad Jeep and Bell S.L.R.D. Jetpack.
Posted yet another set of aircraft photos from NASM. Dornier Do-335A Pfeil, Spad XVI, Sikorsky HO5S-1 and Sukhoi Su-26M were all added to the Aircraft Gallery.
Added four more walkarounds from the National Air & Space Museum – Udvar-Hazy Center. This time they are Northrop P-61C Black Widow, Curtiss N-9H, Horten Ho IIIf and Vought OS2U-3 Kingfisher.
Added the two sets of fairly unusual subjects from Fort Eustis: two flying jeeps from 1950s – GEM, Model 2500 Air Car and VZ-8P Airgeep II, as well as two gunstrucks – M54 Guntruck “Eve of Destruction” from Vietnam and M923 Guntruck from Iraq.
