After a trip to New York City we've added the photos of the several of the fortifications that use to guard the approaches to Manhattan on the Staten Island side of the Verrazano Narrows. We've posted the photos of Fort Wadsworth, Fort Tompkins and Battery Duane, as well as a US 6-pdr Mark XX Naval Gun diplayed there. Today we've started posting another large series of walkarounds, this time from the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tuscon, AZ. We've added the photos of British Aerospace AV-8C Harrier, Douglas WB-66 Destroyer and Fairey AEW Mk. 3 Gannet. The armor for today contains Marmon-Herrington CTL-3 Combat Car (highly modified for various movies), M43 and M706 V-100 Commando from Tankland in El Monte, CA as well as M-51 Isherman from Latrun. Last four walkarounds from Portland area museum have been posted - Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina, Nakajima Ki-43 III Ko Hayabusa (Oscar), Grumman TF-9J Cougar and Hughes OH-23B Raven. We've reorganised an updated the ships section of the gallery. To that end we've added the photos of the USCGC Fir WLM-212 that is parked on one of the piers on the San Francisco waterfront, B-396, Project 641B Diesel-Electric Submarine (NATO - Tango Class) from Moscow Naval Museum, Victoria-2 Tugboat and T-51 Floating Crane taken on the Moscow River and US 5"/51 Mk14 from "Tankland" in El Monte, CA. Posted the last three helicopters from the Vertical Challenge 2010 Air Show - Bell 407, Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk and Hughes 396D. And to round out the usual four albums rep update also posted the photos of the S-24B Unguided Rocket from the Kiev Aviation Museum. It has been some time since we've updated the artillery section, so here's four new cannons - US 12pdr Napoleon Model 1857 and it's Limber from Fort Point in San Francisco, Russian 76.2mm Model 1909 Mountain Gun from Central Museum of the Armed Forces in Moscow and Soviet 82mm B10 Recoilless Gun from the same place. Added more aircraft from the Evergreen Aviation Museum - DeHaviland DH.4M, Ryan PT-22 Recruit, Sikorsky HOS3-1G Dragonfly and Curtiss-Wright A-22 Falcon. The usual time slot for armor brings us the photos of the PzKpfw IVG and Tiran 6 from Latrun, as well as 2S7 Pion and MT-55 Bridgelayer from Stalin Line in Belarus. |
